My favorite Dawson's Creek moments

I know, this is the most random post of all time. But hey, walking past J. Crew on a daily basis reminds me of little Joey Potter and her earth tone collection of cardigans and sweaters. Dawson's Creek was and will always be one of my all time favorite shows. For those of you unfortunate readers who missed this iconic season, start at the beginning and watch. Seriously, you won't regret it. It's 90s cheesiness mixed with hopeless romantic love triangles is addicting. So here's the moments I remember and love the most.

  •  Pacey jokes in "Detention," Season 1. The ripoff of The Breakfast Club episode is filled with sarcasm, truth or dares, and the annoying, Abby Morgan. The best part I would say is when Pacey (played by Joshua Jackson) makes a joke about Emilio Estevez: "No way, Emilio Estevez! He was in those Duck movies, remember? God, those were classics, so funny.." If you didn't know, Joshua Jackson played the leading role along side of Estevez in Mighty Ducks. You're so creative, Kevin Williamson.
  • Joey and her dad dance at "A Perfect Wedding," Season 2. Before getting arrested [again] for drugs, Mike Potter helps cook at an important wedding event where Joey and the gang all work at. After fighting through the episode, Joey and her father share this adorable dance together, which usually chokes me up. Moments after, Dawson and Joey dance together and share a kiss marking them getting back together.
  • Pacey and Jen casually hook up in "Escape from Witch Island," Season 3. While in search for the perfect Blair Witch rip-off like film, Joey, Dawson, Jen, and Pacey head out to Witch Island. Through making the documentary, Jen and Pacey make a deal to casually hook up. When they start kissing however, the church is attacked in the show's attempt at scaring the audience. Good one!
  • The entire episode of "Weekend in the Country," Season 3. Pacey thinks he is being nice by inviting Fredrick Fricky from the Times to review the Potter B&B that's not at all ready. As stand in guests, the whole gang gets together to show Fricky how great the B&B is. Everything that can go wrong does, until at night they gather around the fire sharing stories and of course Grams has the best ones, saying "you know you truly love someone when you can sit all night and watch them sleep in front of the fire." Later, we finally see Pacey's emotions when he watches Joey sleep-- in front of a fire of course. In the morning, the whole gang dances around the kitchen and cooks and Fricky says "the heat didn't work last night, but this is one of the warmest places I've ever stayed." Aww.
  • The last scene of "Cinderella Story," Season 3. Pacey pulls the car over after picking Joey up in the middle of the night from a visit to a college crush. He finally kisses her.
Insert the rest of season 3. Pacey and Joey finally get together.
  • The very beginning of "Coming Home," Season 4. After having a magical summer together like most 16-17 year-olds have away on a boat, they hand in hand jump off Pacey's boat before "I Don't Wanna Wait" starts. So freaking cute.
  • Dawson saves the day in "Two Gentlemen of Capeside," Season 4. While Jen and Pacey go sailing directly into a storm, they decide to hide out at a deserted cove, one that only Dawson would know about. Despite their hatred toward each other, Dawson takes Mr. Brooks boat out (and Joey tags along) and saves Pacey and Jen, in this dramatic rain storm scene when Dawson yells at Pacey, "people care more about you than they do this damn boat." Thanks, Dawson.

  • Andie's goodbye bringing the gang together in "You Had Me at Goodbye," Season 4. After Andie's Ecstasy mishap, the whole crowd hates each other while she decides to throw a goodbye dinner, letting them all know she's moving to Paris, and goes around the table telling each of them how much she loves them. They even get a picture in the end, where Andie is standing in between Dawson and Pacey, and moves so they have to put their arms around each other.  I cry every time.

  • Jen and Jack almost sleep together in "A Winter's Tale," Season 4. Yes you read that right. When tehy get drunk, they realize how lonely they are and Jack says the sweetest thing ever telling Jen that he's scared he'll never find someone he loves as much as he loves her. Things steam up, but she stops it before it goes all the way. On the other hand, Joey and Pacey do finally sleep together.
  • Pacey graduates in "The Graduate," Season 4. After struggling to graduate, Pacey finally passes. At the end of the year party, he sees Joey where he asks her if she would ever go sailing with him again. She remotely answers, "you wouldn't have to ask, Pace." Thanks, Joe. And when she says goodbye, he says in that Pacey-tone, "I'll see ya, Joey," basically telling her that he's leaving town. They share a look.
  • Joey sings with Charlie in "Something Wild," Season 5. After getting a 4.0 in her first semester at Worthington, Joey and Audrey go celebrate where she ends up being "other Joey," and singing with Chad Michael Murray's character, bad boy Charlie Todd. It's quite comical.
  • Joey and the Professor kiss in "Something Wilder," Season 5. Joey ditches a nice boy from school to go to a "gathering" with some students and Professor Wilder, the attractive writing professor at Worthington. After a walk and a coffee, they end up sharing an awkward kiss.
  • Joey and Dawson sleep together in "The Kids Are Alright," Season 6. It's about freaking time, that's all I'm saying. This is after he gives her a snow globe for her 20th birthday. Go Dawson.
  • Joey and Eddie see No Doubt in "Spiderwebs," Season 6. Joey and Eddie are hanging out backstage at the No Doubt concert where Eddie's dad works maintenance. I'm a sucker for Eddie. The hot bad-boy is so good for sweet little Joe.
  • Joey and Pacey are deserted in Kmart overnight in "Castaways," Season 6. What else do you need to know? It's the most amazing episode ever.
  • Pacey and Joey end up together in "All Good Things Must Come to an End," Season 6 (Series finale). Joey must make her ultimate choice, OBVIOUSLY choosing Pacey, while Dawson finally lands a meeting with Steve Spielberg, his real love. Other highlights of the finale: The cast does a quick run through of their memories of the years, which is pretty comical. Later, Jack tells a dying Jen that she is his soulmate. So sad, but a pretty great ending.
